Global War on Terrorism - The Untold Story
"You could get a journalist cheaper than a good call girl, for a couple hundred dollars a month." ~ CIA operative discussing with Philip Graham, editor Washington Post, on the availability and prices of journalists willing to peddle CIA propaganda and cover stories. Katherine the Great, by Deborah Davis (New York: Sheridan Square Press, 1991)
This is a perfect saying if I see the present coverage of “War against Terrorism” on world’s media. If you tell a lie a hundred times, it becomes the truth (Goebells) and this is what the media is doing: blaming those who are the victims themselves and praising those who are the real culprits. The media has become nothing more than a propaganda mouthpiece and mass producers of distortion. An industry whose task should be to filter out falsehood has become a conduit for propaganda and second hand news. The errors have been so huge to be laughable if this isn’t such a serious business, or if there isn’t any chance they are doing it on purpose!
This dual nature and clear deception pushed my heart to come out and at least call a spade a spade. Especially I would be uncovering the unseen side of the picture related to the perception of Pakistan and its ‘victimization’ in the so called War against Terror. It hurts when you see your home country taking all the blame for something, which she never committed. It hurts when you see international conspiracies to destabilize, disintegrate and ultimately denuclearize your homeland happening under the blankets of one drama after another. It really hurts, it hurts a lot!
“To me, I confess, [countries] are pieces on a chessboard upon which is being played out a game for dominion of the world.” Lord Curzon, Viceroy of India, speaking about Afghanistan, 1898
However this does not imply that Pakistan has never committed any sin. I’m equally critical of Pakistan’s corrupt politicians and their known unpatriotism. Their only goal is to loot the wealth of the nation, accumulate their bank reserves and ostensibly sustain themselves in power. The governments are mostly the puppet regimes, which do not have the ability to come out of their closet. But all this does not justify blaming her for the deeds for which she is not at all responsible.
I’ve discussed various stories on this page to prove the above statement, which can be summarized as follows:
Summary of the page:
If you put all the pieces of the puzzles together, you will find that all this media hype about terrorism especially the recent drama of “Mumbai Attacks” reveals a clever game being played in disguise of so called “terrorism”. Under the cover, the plan is to create all the circumstances that can justify declaring Pakistan as a failed state, it’s one-of-the-world’s-best Military as a failed force and create a justification to invade Pakistan to neutralize its nuclear weapons and deny China any space in Pakistan.
There were growing indications that, ever since Islamabad joined Washington’s regional plans, Pakistan was gradually turning into a ‘besieged-nation’, heavily targeted by the American media while being subjected to strategic sabotage and espionage from Afghanistan. Afghanistan, under America’s watch, has turned into a vast staging ground for sophisticated psychological and military operations to destabilize neighboring Pakistan. Saboteurs trained in Afghanistan have been inserted into Pakistan to aggravate extremist passions here, especially after the Red Mosque operation. Chinese citizens continue to be targeted by individuals pretending to be Islamists, when no known Islamic group has claimed responsibility. A succession of ‘religious rebels’ with suspicious foreign links have suddenly emerged in Pakistan over the past months claiming to be ‘Pakistani Taliban’. Money and weapons have been fed into the religious movements and Al Qaeda remnants in the tribal areas.
The fact of the matter is that local Pakistani Taliban like Baitullah Mehsud or his likes are only fighting the state of Pakistan and NOT the Americans inside Afghanistan. In fact, there is clear evidence to suggest that US and India are actually patronizing and protecting these terrorist assets operating against state of Pakistan. Also, these local Taliban or their allies are no threat to US or its allies anywhere in the world. So, why is US so keen to force Pakistan into a bloody war inside its own tribal areas? The reason is obvious – it is another chapter in CIA's dirty war to create enough anarchy in Pakistan to justify its case against Pakistan's nuke assets
The tragedy is the dual face of Pakistan’s own media, journalists, human rights associations (NGOs) and politicians. Corruption and integrity of Pakistani politicians is well known. However there are also growing indications that some of the TV anchors, journalists, and people representing various NGOs are also being patronized by outside forces to fulfill their agenda to create disinformation among ordinary public. On one hand our greedy politicians are just engrossed to sustain themselves in the power corridors, the media on the other hand is endeavoring to create rift between the people of Pakistan and Pakistan’s army to serve the vested interests of outside forces without having an iota of sincerity for the country. When Pakistan army was operating against the ‘Pakistani Taliban’ (brand name representing the terrorists injected through Afghanistan and NOT the real Taliban), the media was shouting that military is killing its own people and when the politicians intervened to sign a peace agreement with the local people so that they flush out the militants through peaceful means, the media as well as the dubious NGOs raised hue and cry that it was not a peace deal but a surrender by Pakistani military. The objective is crystal clear. Make people of Pakistan start abhorring their military so that they get dispersed and would be easier to swallow.

Swat's Whipped Girl
Everyone knows that a public flogging like this one will create a stir. The fake Taliban who also call themselves ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’ [TTP] did this intentionally. And the Pakistani media played along, repeating the footage ad nauseum for ratings.
The original Afghan Taliban have directly and indirectly conveyed to Pakistani authorities repeatedly that they have nothing to do with Baitullah Mehsud’s TTP, which focuses on killing Pakistani citizens. News editors in our TV channels need to understand this. They should not have given these criminals - who are hiding behind the name of ‘Taliban’ - the satisfaction of giving a successful media blow to the peace deal. Swat Deal and the Widespread Confusion
Video (in Urdu): The truth about Swat deal. Video
A lot of uproar is going on in and outside Pakistan against the peace deal and promulgation of Nizam-e-Adal 2009 Regulations in Swat. Internationally as well as nationally, forces hostile to Pakistan are using this as surrender and back off by government where as some commentators are declaring it ineptness of Pakistan army and intelligence agencies. Most of these uproars are a result of misunderstanding and misconception about both peace deal of 16th Feb. and NAR-2009.
First of all it makes sense to clarify the confusion and then the only way out to understand the facts is to understand the peace deal and Nizam-e-Adal Regulations 2009 so that concerns expressed at national and international level can be addressed.
What is the confusion?
Ahmed Quraishi in his article America confusing Swat says, "Swat is exactly what the demonization of Afghan Taliban and the creation of a fake ‘Pakistani Taliban’ is all about. Pakistan has supported Afghan Taliban, so create these monsters inside Pakistan, call them ‘Taliban’, make them kill ordinary Pakistanis mercilessly, and when anger builds up, point the finger at Pakistani military. What the Pakistani media is not noticing is how that everything that the so-called Pakistani Taliban does ends up supporting the U.S. government and military’s argument for boosting troops in Afghanistan and advocating U.S. military intervention in Pakistan." Read the full article America confusing Swat
The peace deal in Swat is confusing Pakistanis and Pakistan-watchers across the world. The central question is: Is the deal good as Pakistan says or bad as America says? Honestly only time can tell whether Swat deal produces results as per the expectations or not. However it is critical to understand that Pakistani military could and still can clear Swat in a few days but only at a great cost in lives of ordinary Pakistanis. The beauty of insurgent warfare is that it deliberately plants itself among civilians. So when the regular army attacks, civilian casualties will end up creating more enemies for the known force (the military) and bolster the case of the unknown and hidden force (the militias). The tactics of both Hezbollah and Hamas in south Lebanon and Gaza are two good examples of this. Therefore the politicians intervened to sign a peace agreement with the local people so that they can flush out the militants through peaceful means. So these are the politicians compelled by the local people who asked military to halt its operation against the militants so that they can find a peaceful solution to the problem. The peace agreement was with the local people and NOT with the militants and the objective was to grant the necessary authority and power to the local people so that they can get rid of the terrorists [TTP, Fazlullah group] on their own. Whether they succeed or not – time will tell. In case it does not work out or violations of the deal happen, government and military has all the options open.
What are the contents of this deal?
As far as Nizam-e-Adal 2009 is concerned it is being portrayed as a cruel justice system that would be run by Taliban. This is real dilemma that no one in media in Pakistan is ready to take a good deep look at the Nizam Adal Regulation 2009 draft and see how things will be implemented and who will be in-charge.
More sadly, information department of government in Islamabad is not ready to reply to foreign apprehensions about these regulations. All these concerns and apprehensions are a result of misunderstanding and lack of awareness due to inept information machinery of Pakistan. Private media is also playing a criminal role as it is not telling masses what Nizam-e-Adal Regulations 2009 is. Many misconceptions are being spread to get vested interests served by both Local and international actors.
BrassTacks has outlined the contents of this deal in his article What’s the deal with Swat? I'm quoting an excerpt from his article here:
Below are 14 points which provide basis for the truce between TTP Swat and Government.
Sharia law would be implemented in Swat and Malakand [Government will implement this law as per the constitution and not the militants] Security forces will gradually withdraw from the region The government and the Taliban would exchange prisoners Militants would recognize the writ of the government and cooperate with security forces Taliban would halt attacks on barber and music shops Ban on display of weapons by militants in public Taliban would lay down heavy weapons Taliban would close down training camps Taliban would denounce suicide attacks A ban would be placed on raising private militias Taliban will cooperate with the government to vaccinate children against diseases like polio Fazlullah's madrassa, the Imam Dheri would be turned into an Islamic university [This university will be run by the government and not the militants] Only licensed FM radio stations would be allowed to operate in the region Taliban would allow women to "perform their duties at the workplace without any fear"
The misperception is being spread about appointment of Qazis (judges) under Nizam-e-Adl in Malakand. The impression is being created by some vested elements that militants will appoint these judges which is absolutely incorrect.
All the Qazis (judges) would be appointed by government and not Sufi Muhammad or Fazlullah. Dar-ul-Qaza (final appellate court) will be constituted by NWFP governor and the judges to all the Islamic courts will be appointed in consultation with the government besides there will be no compromise on their qualification as all the judges to be appointed will be highly qualified and would work within the rules and regulations.
So it is clear from above two examples that Taliban will not be running this judicial system but a proper government supported and backed system with authority. Much of other misconceptions can be addressed once if draft of NAR2009 made available on all kinds of media both inside and outside Pakistan. Attack on Sri Lankan Cricket Team in Lahore
Video (in Urdu): Ansar Abbasi (The News) reveals intelligence report where the government had been warned about RAW planning an attack and how the Pakistani administration facilitated the attack on the Sri Lankan team by ignoring the intelligence warnings and by allowing the security lapse to happen. Video
Videos/Articles: Full Coverage: Attack on the Sri Lankan Cricket Team in Lahore [Note: In some of the videos/articles, the evidence presented is overshadowed by the anti-Indian sentiments and rhetoric; however I would like to abstain from them. As I already mentioned in the above DISCLAIMER that I’m against having hostility against any nation or its people. I strongly believe in 'live and let others live' with peace and harmony. My only intention is to expose the truth and not to propogate hate or provoke war hysteria against anyone]
Following excerpt is taken from the article Pakistan’s Munich: The Enemy’s Fingerprints, written by Ahmed Quraishi
Lahore is the same city where Pakistani antiterrorism police arrested several Indian citizens and their Pakistani accomplices in the past few weeks and paraded them in public with evidence linking them to India’s spy agency Research & Analysis Wing, or RAW. Lahore lies a few kilometers away from the Indian border and has bore the brunt of India’s covert operations in the 1970s and 1980s, mostly randomly planted bombs in public places designed to spread terror.
Pakistani security officials had received a report that at least ten Indian operatives have crossed the border into Lahore 48 hours before the attacks.
India spearheaded a campaign to convince several countries to sever sports relations with Pakistan and put tremendous pressure on Sri Lanka not to send its cricket team to play here.
India has a history of supporting the terrorist LTTE group (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) and arming it with sophisticated weapons to fight the Sri Lankan government and army. Pakistan, on the other hand, has been supporting Sri Lanka against this terrorism. India has long been disturbed by the close relationship between Colombo and Islamabad.
The timing of the attack shows the professional planning. Lahore administration was in a flux after the change of provincial government. Lahore was also the last Pakistani city that has not yet been affected by the fallout from America’s failed and disastrous war in Afghanistan. This incident effectively brings chaos to Lahore as well. The rest of Pakistan is already being destabilized by foreign intelligence operatives working from the Afghan soil, inserting professional saboteurs and flushing the country with money to recruit criminals and activating them under the guise of religious extremists.

Believe me or not, I've more Indian friends than any other nationality. There is no reason to have enmity against innocent citizens. I'm always a strong advocate of peace, tranquility, freedom, equality of all and right to human dignity. But in every society there are warmongers and hate lovers that want to hijack peace. As much as it hurts me seeing innocent civilians being massacred in Mumbai attacks, the magnitude of the pain is the same if not more to witness Pakistan getting the entire share in the blame cake, when Pakistan is not at all responsible for this drama. Yes a drama cum foul game, which in the end turned out to be very badly camouflaged. Following notable events and occurrences that unfolded during the entire episode forced me to think it was a ‘drama’ and an ‘inside job’.
- It's really intriguing that only days ago, for the first time, the reach and influence of indigenous Indian terror groups was being registered for the first time, with the arrest of two serving senior Indian army officers with links to Hindu terror groups involved in major terrorism acts; acts that were blamed on Muslims. Something had to be done to divert the attention of the world and Indian public from acts of terrorism by Hindu Hardliners. Then comes the Mumbai Massacre, too sophisticated for any foreigner to execute without massive facilitation and support base. Read “Crisis May Shift India’s Political Landscape” by Somini Sengupta (Indian author) at New York Times
In the very first hours of the Mumbai attack, the unknown terrorists were able to achieve a singular feat: the targeted murder of Hemant Karkare, the chief anti terrorism officer in the Indian police. The man was responsible for exposing the secret links between the Indian military and Hindu terror groups. His investigation resulted in uncovering the involvement of three Indian military intelligence officers in terrorist acts that were blamed on Muslim groups. At the time of his murder, Karkare was pursuing leads that were supposed to uncover the depth of the nexus between the Indian military and the sudden rise of well armed and well financed Hindu terrorism groups with their wide network of militant training camps across India. Why should so called ‘Islamic Militants from Pakistan’ want to kill the guy who is exposing the link between the Indian military and Hindu terror groups? Allegedly Muslim terrorists have left behind an ID card and a cell phone with a SIM card originating in a 'neighboring' country [Pakistan]. How convenient. They should have checked better since they could have also found an ISI staff card on one of the dead terrorists.
Evidence being deliberately ignored - Has anyone noticed one of terrorist wearing read/orange band around his wrist? Tying a red thread or cord around the wrist is a Hindu practice and it is unlikely a Muslim, especially one politicized enough to carry out an attack such as this, would observe it. I think this provides more evidence that this was a false flag operation or at least an attack by a non-Muslim group. Why would a “fundamentalist Muslim” who is willing to “wage war against the infidels” wear a bangle that purely represents extremist Hindu ideology and beliefs? Source
Additionally, the terrorists inside the Nariman House Building were reported to have stocked up on supplies on Wednesday evening, buying not just food items but liquor, among other things, from a local store. Again, it is highly unlikely that a Muslim, let alone a ‘Mujahid’, and especially one politicized enough to carry out such an attack, would consume liquor in normal life, let alone hours before his inevitable ‘martyrdom’. Read SHTUREM or BBC news. BBC writes: “Locals say the orgy of killings in Mumbai began here. Three men walked into the cafe, drank beer, settled their bills and walked out. Then they fished out guns from their bags and began firing”. BBC further narrates: "They did not look Indian, they looked foreign. One of them, I thought, had blonde hair. The other had a punkish hairstyle. They were neatly dressed." says Gaffar Abdul Amir, an Iraqi tourist from Baghdad.
How did “people who sailed from Karachi” come to know about the exact whereabouts of the city and especially the layout of the hotel premises? Employees of the Taj Hotel have said that the way in which the terrorists rioted through the whole building was amazing. One of them even said that “They know the place better than us or for that matter, even the Manager himself!” Source Pakistan Daily or Pak Alert
The next day of the drama - the beneficiaries of all these events, the Hindu right-wing extremist parties such as the BJP, RSS, Vishwa Prashad, etc. get more active in fostering anti-Pakistan, anti-Muslim sentiments among Hindu nationals. The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) played the forefront role, it even had highly-sentimental nationalistic and anti-Pakistan, anti-Muslim statements and banners printed in various leading Indian newspapers and magazines. All this seems to have benefited them a lot. Obviously, the Indian media and the Global Eye before were focused towards some of their members infiltrating the Indian Army’s hierarchy and infusing racist ideologies in them. They got the perfect chance to “turn the tables over”. Read "Beneficiary of Mumbai Bombings: Indian Army or BJP?" by The London Post
One Indian channel went as far as broadcasting “real time videos” of a particular “Rehman chacha” (Rehman uncle) hailing from Faridkot district, Pakistan. Reportedly, the attackers had called him from their SIMs and taken further instructions. This is indeed applaudable, for one of the largest news channels in Pakistan, Express News, did extensive thorough findings in search of this person and found out there wasn’t anyone with such a name who ever belonged to Faridkot. The Indian Government then again changed her statement and said it was a particular “Amir Jamal” from Faridkot. Again, the Express News team went on research and found out that this very man had died 3 years ago. His own kin related the event to the news team. Now the Indian Government is saying it was a particular “Amir Kasab”. Read Pakistan Daily
The disclosure by a Pakistani lawyer C. M. Farooque that many people including Ajmal Kasab were apprehended by the Nepalese authorities in early 2006 and transferred to India for interrogation by the Indian intelligence agencies has once again raised the issue of the clandestine detention of foreign nationals in India and their use as clay pigeons in fake encounters to conduct coercive diplomacy against Pakistan. Ajmal Kasab is the only ‘survivor’ from among the nine attackers who held Mumbai to ransom from 26 Nov and 29 Nov, killing 170 and injuring hundreds and forms the pivot of the Indian argument that terrorism emanating from Pakistan constitutes a casus belli that merits a punitive action against Pakistan. More on Fake Evidence: Kasab’s Kidnap in Nepal in Pak Tribune or Pak Alert
Even when the shootings were going on in hotels, Indian media and army were blaming Pakistan for the attacks. The game is clear and sinister. The Indian Intelligence have diverted the global attention towards another issue where they would blame Pakistan for this slaughter and use Barack Obama's doctrine of attacks on Pakistan to encircle Pakistan from both sides.
There are close to 100 groups in India, of all shades, fighting the Indian state and people, including Hindu terrorist groups. India should get its own house in order before blaming 'neighbors'. This coming from a country where close to 600 Christians were killed just a couple of months back by Hindu groups, and 2500 Indian Muslims were burned alive in the 21st century's first incident of genocide, in 2002 and where Kashmiri, Dalit, and other minority women are raped everyday as part of Hindu religious oppression. The patriotic Indians should stop the secular warmongers and Hindu militants from hijacking their country. The future of the entire region depends on it. The Clever Game to Topple Pakistan's Military
On Nov. 19, 2007, this column from Ahmed Quraishi predicted either Pervez Musharraf or Benazir Bhutto would be assassinated [she was killed five weeks later] and warned in clear words:
“This is not about Musharraf anymore. This is about clipping the wings of a strong Pakistani military, denying space for China in Pakistan, squashing the ISI, stirring ethnic unrest, and neutralizing Pakistan’s nuclear program. The first shot in this plan was fired in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province in 2004. The last bullet will be toppling Musharraf, sidelining the military and installing a pliant government in Islamabad. Musharraf shares the blame for letting things come this far. But he is also trying to punch holes in Washington’s game plan. He needs to be supported.”
Less than a year later, it is stunning how true this analysis/prediction turned out to be. It started in 2004 when Akbar Bugti, a politician cum thug, launched an armed rebellion against the Pakistani state, surprising security analysts by using rockets and other military equipment that shouldn’t normally be available to a smalltime village thug. Since then, Islamabad sits on a pile of evidence that links Mr. Bugti’s campaign to money and ammunition and logistical support from Afghanistan, directly aided by the Indians and the Karzai administration, with the Americans turning a blind eye. Some of them have used and are using encrypted communication equipment far superior to what Pakistani military owns. Money and weapons have been fed into the religious movements and Al Qaeda remnants in the tribal areas. Who is funding terrorism in Pakistan? Who is behind ‘Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’? Who carried out the Marriot blast?
Note: Following excerpts are taken from the articles “CIA’s War Against Pakistan Gets Into High Gear” by BrassTacks and “The Real Story Behind Marriott Attack” by Asif Haroon Raja. Some of the claims made in these columns are exaggerated (everyone has his/her own style of writing) and could be debatable, but most of the analysis is hard to resist.
On the western front, US continue to create security issues for Pakistan. The US strategy is strange to say the least if not downright sinister. The reason is obvious – it is another chapter in CIA's dirty war to create enough anarchy in Pakistan to justify its case against Pakistan's nuke assets. Some key facts are:
ISI had once given six figure coordinates of Baitullah Mehsud and yet no Hellfire missile was fired on his hideout by CIA
Foreign intelligence agents are involved in carrying out gruesome beheadings of security personnel and torching girls’ schools to defame the real Taliban who at least have a peaceful agenda with Pakistan
The nexus in Kabul is working upon a scripted plan to make FATA (Pakistani tribal areas) lawless and beyond the control of security forces, push militancy into settled areas and then into major cities and thus create a civil warlike situation to prove their contention that Pakistan is the most dangerous country in the world and that the extremists are on the verge of taking over power and nuclear weapons
